In June of 2012 I went on an Alaskan cruise, it was the most magnificent cruise I've ever been on (and I've been on quite a few). I highly recommend it! If you're a cruiser but have yet to do Alaska, do not wait another minute; if you've never cruised before... this is the ONE to do.
I packed my Lolo Betty doll and off we went. I made sure she got to know everyone on the ship!
Buckle up and join Lolo Betty as she takes on the great state of Alaska.
But first.....a pit stop in the beautiful city of Vancouver, BC.
Hanging on tight as she crosses the Capilano Suspension Bridge.
The swinging bridge actually did not phase her in the least... she's one tough cookie!
Taking a break by a small man-made waterfall.....that's what it LOOKS like anyways, she's actually stealing people's wish pennies from the pond.
Topless sunbathing on a sunny Vancouver morning. From what we're told, you don't see many of these....sunny mornings that is.
On the cruise ship at last! First things first.....MARTINI.
Uh-em... now that she has the bartender's attention.
"I'll have the flight of martinis, please"
Now that's what I call a great start to a fabulous vacation!
Hello, James Stephens III (entertainment comedian), nice to meet you!
Of all the sites to see in Ketchikan, AK... Lolo Betty chose to tour a whore house! Really I think it was just because the name was "Dolly's".
She thought she made friends with a REAL bear, we didn't tell her any different.
This seat is taken! Next stop, back to the cruise ship.
"Hmmmm, what's this polar bear club I hear talk of?" - Mendenhall Glacier.
"Captain Terry, I want to see a whale and I want to see one NOW!"
"Wow... Awesome... Perfect!!"
"Hey handsome, can I play with your joystick?"
"This prehistoric piece of crap is what controls the ship? You gotta be kiddin' me!"
Alaska was amazing. Why do vacations have to end? At some point you wake up and it's back to reality.
Lolo Betty hasn't been on any more vacations since Alaska; but I think it's time to dig her out, dust her off and seek a grand adventure.
